I recently read the book The Final Storm by Jeff Shaara. This book was one of the many included in the Historical Fiction section our teacher, Ms. Bockelman, gave us for this assignment. In short, for this assignment we were asked to read a historical fiction book and give a summary of it addressing a few questions. These were questions like “Give a summary of a few main characters” and “From whose point of view is the book told? How does this influence the story?” This book report gave me a good look at how historical fiction is written and how an author includes historical facts along with telling a seemingly personal story.
