My Video Project

I recently created a video project about different ways to be an umpire. My video contains many ways to strike players out and how to show superiority over them. It is supposed to be sarcastic in nature and shows ways to flaunt yourself as better than anybody else on the field. This video was not easy to make at all! I never knew how much effort and structure it took to produce a high-quality video with good sounds, songs, and clips. This video also took longer than expected. I thought it would be fairly easy, considering I knew what I wanted as the end project and had an idea of how to get it. This was not the case. I did not expect the editing to be as hard as it was.

One of the main problems I ran into was trying to fix videos that were taken vertically. I had my dad help me record the clips because I was going to be in the video, but forgot to tell him to record horizontally. At first, I thought this would be detrimental to the end result of the project. Not only was the video up-and-down, but it was windy the day of recording so all the clips were shaky. In the end, though, a friend showed me how to crop the vidoes and there was a “stabilization” option in iMovie (where I edited the project) which helped stabilize the clips. This project was helpful in the fact that it helped me learn how to learn and work hard for an end goal. I will continue to use this learning the rest of my life.
